Why Choose Greece for your next Yacht Charter
Greece is a country full of surprises. With a Mediterranean climate and warm sunshine from April to September, the charter season is long and luxurious. High season runs from July and August, with these months being very busy in places, but there are always quiet, unexplored places to discover, and wherever you go you can be assured of finding a lifestyle very Greek in flavour!
Out of season boaters often start as early as April and go on to the end of October, when sea temperatures are still warm enough for swimming. July and August are the peaks in high temperatures with daylight ending at 21:00 at midsummer. This fits in with the Greek lifestyle of eating, drinking and enjoying life after dark and well into the early hours!

Another good reason to charter a yacht in Greece from puresailing is that there are just so many islands and island groups to choose from. The distances are easily manageable. Each island group is unique in character, so it’s worth checking out each area, in order to find what you are looking for. The islands will differ in climate, wind and sailing conditions, sailing ability required, tourist numbers, popularity, culture, history, sightseeing, beaches, and much more.
Other Mediterranean countries also offer good sailing areas – but ask anyone who has chartered in other countries besides Greece which they prefer and you will invariably get the same answer – Greece: land of the Gods, and the only place to really charter a yacht!
